Health management and aging are twp areas of concerns due to the arrival of an aging society. Exercises and fitness play a pivotal role in preventive medicine and health maintenance, and we have, therefore, committed ourselves to the establishment of a fully integrative fitness center with the main aim of achieving health maintenance and well being. We will first assess our guests’ physical functions and conditions, and screen for the risks for sarcopenia through the functional physical fitness testing. As for exercise lecturers, our medical specialists will discuss and refer exercise therapies to the gym trainers and subsequently offer exercise programs to our guests with constant guidance, monitor and supervision.
The physical fitness team is led by Doctor Ma Wen-Ya. Apart from the necessary certification for fitness coaches, gym trainer has specific talent and different strengths, no matter TRX, outdoor jogging, aqua fitness exercises, or elderlies physical fitness activities.

Aqua fitness is a casual and straight forward exercise. It is even easier to get started than land exercises. Water provides a buoyant force and resistance. We use the buoyant force of water to effectively reduce the burden placed on joints, and we can increase muscle training through the resistance of water. In the same time, the degree of resistance you experience in water exercises depends on the speed of your movement and the cross-sectional area of water you are in contact with. The way your muscles contract in water is similar to an isotonic contraction, so you don’t get hurt easily.
Apart from that, you can adjust the intensity of the training through the speed of your movement or through an increase in the cross-sectional area of water using an auxiliary appliance. Under the leadership of our aqua fitness trainers, exercises are fun and safe. Even if you just walk in the water, do leg lift and move forward, move backward, or move sideways, you can train those lower extremity muscles and core muscles that are not used much during walking. Also, the characteristics of water will help you to enhance balance while you are moving in water. All these exercises are effective in preventing falls.
Another characteristic of water exercise is temperature. Suitable water temperature can lower the body temperature during workouts, and the heart rate during water exercises is lower than that during land exercises. Aqua fitness provide quite intensive training, while these features all reduce discomfort generated from exercises as the buoyant force reduces your body weight. Also, if you can have a spa to relax your tight muscular fascia while doing stretches in the water, you can often stretch in full comfortably!

At Eonway physical fitness center, professional trainers will assess our guest’s muscular endurance, muscle strength, cardiorespiratory endurance, flexibility, agility, sense of balance through the physical fitness examination and our state of the art body composition analysis system, which examines muscle mass and the distribution of body fat. Based on these examinations, customized exercise prescriptions are designed and programs carried out for our guests.
American College of Sports Medicine has emphasized that “exercise is medicine”, just like each medication is taken at a specified amount, Eonway’s exercise prescriptions are also customized based on our guests’ body composition results and treatment goals. Also, after assessment and examinations, customized exercise prescriptions will be provided to our guests for optimal results and efficacy.
